Black Calyx Mini
This work is built slowly by hand in my Savannah studio. Please allow approximately
12 - 16 weeks for completion before shipment.
Defined by its open, cup-like forms, the Mini Calyx explores rhythm through variation in scale and depth. Each element is individually shaped and assembled by hand, creating a dimensional surface with a quiet, sculptural presence.
Crafted from high-fired black porcelain, the unglazed finish reveals a deep charcoal tone. Subtle variations emerge through the firing process, with softer gray edges along the rims and high points, adding depth and contrast.
