This handbuilt porcelain lotus bowl is defined by its richly textured exterior and softly glowing interior. The surface is carved and left unglazed, allowing the natural porcelain to remain tactile and matte, while the interior is finished with a warm off-white glaze that pools gently within the form.
Subtle rivulets and tonal variation emerge during the firing process, giving each bowl a quiet depth and individuality. These natural markings are a hallmark of the handmade process and add to the piece’s sense of calm and presence.
Measuring approximately 9.5” in diameter and 3.5” in height, the lotus bowl is well suited for use as a serving or fruit bowl, and equally compelling as a sculptural object resting on a table, counter, or shelf.
Each bowl is hand built from fine porcelain clay and high-fired for durability, strength, and resistance to moisture and staining. Finished with a food-safe glaze. Gentle hand washing is recommended to preserve the surface and finish.
