This handbuilt porcelain scallop bowl balances utility with sculptural presence. The softly undulating rim and carved exterior create a rhythmic, organic surface that catches light and shadow, giving the piece a quiet sense of movement even at rest.
The exterior is left unglazed to reveal the raw texture of the porcelain, while the interior is finished with my signature snowflake white glaze — a warm, creamy white with subtle rivulets and natural variation that make each bowl one of a kind.
Measuring approximately 10” in diameter and 4” in height, this bowl has a generous scale without feeling heavy. It works beautifully as a serving or fruit bowl, and is equally compelling displayed on its own as a sculptural table object.
Each piece is hand built, high-fired for durability, and finished with a food-safe glaze. Gentle hand washing is recommended to preserve the surface and finish.
